PE and Sports Premium
Ingoldmells Academy received £16,840 in PE and Sport Premium funding for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The funding has been strategically invested to enhance the quality of physical education, school sport and physical activity opportunities for all pupils. Through continued professional development, staff training, specialist support, enrichment activities and competitive sporting opportunities, we remain committed to promoting healthy, active lifestyles and ensuring pupils have access to a broad and engaging PE curriculum.
During 2025-2026, the academy invested £9,470 in continuing professional development (CPD) to further develop staff expertise and confidence in delivering high-quality PE lessons. Additional funding supported extra-curricular opportunities (£1,956), sports equipment and resources (£1,065), membership and subscription fees (£595), and participation in external sporting competitions (£1,754). The academy also invested £2,000 in swimming provision and aquatic opportunities, helping to improve pupil attainment and water safety outcomes.
Our spending has been carefully targeted to ensure all pupils can benefit from physical activity opportunities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), long-term medical conditions, disadvantaged pupils, and to increase participation opportunities for girls in PE and sport.
In order to continually improve our provision, staff work closely with specialist coaches, consultants and colleagues to share best practice, develop teaching expertise and provide the highest standards of physical education for our pupils.
